Using data to help women along their pregnancy journey
We conducted field research with pregnant women and physicians to outline potential opportunities for the Mount Sinai Genetic Testing Lab. We developed and vetted concepts which informed a product strategy that would benefit women and physicians along their pregnancy journey.
Due to the confidential nature of this ongoing work, final concepts cannot be shared.
UX RESEARCH AND STRATEGY, 2016-2017
objective
To discover service and product opportunities that generate meaningful data, along the pregnancy journey, for women and healthcare providers using a human-centered design research process.
approach
We used the principles of human-centered design to engage users and identify opportunities. We conducted interviews with pregnant women, their partners, and healthcare providers. We presented them with UX and product design concepts framing existing ideas and assumptions to explore directions and gather feedback.
outcomes
We delivered key insights from our research, frameworks for understanding the pregnancy journey, and opportunity areas for further exploration. We also generated stimuli in the form of concept sketches and gathered feedback and recommendations. Finally, we created a plan for the next phase of the design with features, target audience and pilot strategy.
